DESIGN DETAILS
The cape is made from mixed plaid flannel, all of which is reclaimed or thrifted. It is lined in purple silk dupioni which has the members' names in fan chant order, hand painted, bordering the hem. The back of the cape features hand beading and Swarovski crystals in designs pulled from album artwork, as well as lyrics and other imagery from BTS's music. The top is a fully boned corset-inspired top which is based on a look worn by J-Hope performing the song "Tear." It's an iconic look by Dior that is legendary amongst ARMY, and has a double meaning because it looks like a tactical or bulletproof vest. BTS, or Bangtan Sonyeondan, means Bulletproof Boy Scouts. The skirt features custom digital printed knit with a photo of the Sepulveda Dam, an LA landmark which is a filming location for the music video "ON". Sarah made some beaded jewelry pieces, and also took the opportunity to wear several pieces by BTS fan artisans, including Private Paradise Co. and Lilac Galaxy Co.

2019: Welcome to Neptune (Veronica Mars)
DESIGN DETAILS
The black trench coat (based on a vintage coat pattern from the 1970s) is made of sheer silk organza, and all of the seams are bound in satin bias. The hand beading on the back is an iconic quote of Veronica's, and it took Sarah 42 hours of work! The all-seeing eye buttons (as seen on the Mars Investigations logo) are made of black shrink plastic and Swarovski crystal. The t-shirt dress is made of cotton/poly blend French terry, with a custom 4-color ombré dyed by hand. Sarah used a digital projector and fabric pens to draw the diagram on the front and back, which is an exploded view of a camera. The palm trees were done with hand-cut freezer paper stencils and fabric paint. Sarah made earrings based on the windows in the Mars Investigations office using custom laser cut acrylic pieces.

2018: Coffee at Luke's (Gilmore Girls)
DESIGN DETAILS
The green military capelet features embroidery of the Stars Hollow gazebo on the back. Over 30 hours of hand work went into the embroidery and beading! For the blouse, Sarah hand-painted silk twill with a resist technique and watercolor silk paint in the shape of the coffee cup sign that hangs over Luke's diner. The plaid flannel parachute skirt's pattern consists of about 20 pieces that go together like a puzzle. It has straps that button to the waistband to allow the wearer to customize the look of its pickups. The blue baseball cap is just like the one worn by Luke, except with hand beading all around the edges and hand embroidery in the shape of the constellation Scorpius. This is a reference to Luke's Zodiac sign and a pivotal romantic scene between Lorelai and him.
